Over the years of the construction of the W114 and W115 series, there were of course various optional extras and their associated internal codes that could be taken into account when ordering the vehicles. Each factory-fitted optional extra has an associated three-digit code that appears both in the vehicle's data card and on the nameplates in the engine compartment :
